Previous Experience

Doreen joined Malta’s largest bank in 1977 – Mid-Med Bank later to become HSBC. During the 14 years working with Mid-Med Bank, Doreen covered account, advances, especially home loans and securities. During the last 5 years of her employment with Mid-Med she was working on the change over from the bank’s computerization system from DOS to Windows and was part of the help desk for all the bank’s branches to switch over from WordPerfect to Microsoft Word.

In 1998 Doreen relocated to Vienna for 5 years during which she worked with the United Nations Atomic Energy Agency. During her 5 year work phase Doreen worked closely with Atomic Inspectors, maintaining the equipment database and working on PowerPoint presentations for various nuclear sites re the remote monitoring of nuclear waste. Drawing plans using graphic software – Visio, for the allocation of the remote monitoring equipment.

In 2004 Doreen returned to Malta and worked for a few years with SMS, Tourism, working on PowerPoint presentations for Costa Excursions in Libya. In 2006 she started as Office Manager for Hollingsworth International, and has been in this position for 13 years, providing the administration work for all clients with Hollingsworth including the day to day running of the office. Doreen also manages the accounts and payroll section.

Charity work

Doreen participated in various art exhibitions in Malta and Vienna, proceeds of art sales going to various charities.

Doreen participated in the Terry Fox run for four consecutive years whilst living in Vienna.
