Before joining Blacktower, Jay worked at a boutique offshore broker-dealer where he managed a book of clients and also oversaw IT projects, infrastructure, and operations.
Jay has previously worked as an IT consultant in both the Cayman Islands and Peru, and an IT manager for a multi-site regional accounting and business consultancy firm in Australia. In addition to his IT background, Jay’s early employment experience across the agricultural, retail and manufacturing sectors, have contributed to his involvement in the establishment of several start-up companies.
Jay holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Federation University in Australia and has earned Systems Administrator and Systems Engineer designations from Microsoft. He has also completed a number of short courses related to anti-money laundering and compliance; digital assets; cloud-based data storage and backup; trading and technical analysis; and fundamental analysis of securities.
